HISTORY
In October 2006, I had come to a crossroads of my musical career and said to one of my peers, "man, if we put in the the same energy to run our own label as we did trying to get a record contract we'd be as big as Bon Jovi!" So I came up with the grand scheme of "Jay Knack Records," but ultimately shelved the idea and moved to California. After settling back in New York in early 2008, I decided to dust off JKR and release the two albums I had finished while in California. Henceforth, Jay Knack Records was born!

JAY KNACK RECORDS TODAY!
What started out as a joke over dinner has now turned into "Upstate New York's #1 Indie Record Label." We are a fully functioning record company complete with a state of the art studio, a legendary producer, five successful artists and two albums that have produced several Capital Region hit singles so far!

2008 saw a strong focus on "Joe Nacco" with the double release of "No One Likes a Ballad" and "This is California." 2009 is the expansion year! We have just signed Paul Salamone, The Aegis Bonesteel Experiment, reaLation. and The Albany St. 3! We have begun work on Paul Salamone's debut album "Everything in Excess." We will also be releasing a Jay Knack Records sampler of all our artists and we are continuing to look for great area talent for future signings!

WE ARE A NON-PROFIT RECORD LABEL!
Literally, we cover our costs and everything goes to the artists. Our interests are to build the label name to help ourselves, the artists. Most people involved in the label are artists looking for exposure and distribution. We intend to keep it this way!
